Colonia Casa Grande (also: Colonia Menonita Casa Grande ) is a town in the Santa Cruz Department in the lowlands of the South American Andean state of Bolivia . It was founded in 1996 by Mennonite immigrants .
Location in the vicinity
Colonia Casa Grande is a scattered rural settlement in the canton of Charagua in the municipality of Charagua in the province of Cordillera . The settlement extends at an altitude of about 580 m in the intensively used agricultural area over an area of 64.5 square kilometers. It consists of the amalgamation of various Mennonite small communities that make their living by farming and raising livestock.

Colonia Casa Grande is located in the area of the tropical climate in the South American Gran Chaco , the six-month wet season extends from November to April and the dry season from May to October.

In Charagua, a country road branches off to the east from Ruta 36 and leads via Estación Charagua into the Mennonite settlement area, via Colonia Uno (Pinondi) to Colonia Casa Grande .
