The Combs is a river in France that runs in the Brittany region . It rises near the hamlet of La Porte de Trévallan in the northern municipality of Val-d'Anast , drains in the upper reaches in an easterly direction, then swings to the southwest and flows into the municipality of Bruc-sur-Aff and Carentoir as a left tributary after around 22 kilometers the aff . On its way, the Combs crosses the Ille-et-Vilaine department and forms the border with the neighboring Morbihan department for the last few kilometers before the mouth .
