The Communauté de communes du Val du Loir is a former French association of municipalities with the legal form of a Communauté de communes in the department of Sarthe in the region Pays de la Loire . It was founded on December 19, 1994, was named after the valley ( French val ) of the Loir River and comprised nine municipalities. The administrative seat was in La Chartre-sur-le-Loir .

Historical development

With effect from January 1, 2017, the community association merged

and thus formed the successor organization Communauté de communes Loir-Lucé-Bercé .

At the same time, the municipalities of La Chapelle-Gaugain , Lavenay , Poncé-sur-le-Loir and Ruillé-sur-Loir formed a nouvelle commune called Loir en Vallée .
