Communauté de communes du Xaintois

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Communauté de communes du Xaintois is a former communauté de communes of ten municipalities in the Vosges department in Lorraine .

The local association had 954 inhabitants (2007) on 46.05 km², which corresponds to a population density of 21 inhabitants / km². This made the association one of the smallest in Lorraine.

The seat of the association was the municipality of Oëlleville . Patrick Husson , who also served as mayor of Boulaincourt, was most recently president of the local authority .

The member parishes were in southern Saintois , a landscape between Madon and Vair . The larger municipality of the same name Saintois joined immediately to the north and belonged to the Meurthe-et-Moselle department .

The local authority association was established on December 30th, 1998 in order to pool the material resources of the small communities and to coordinate economic development.

With effect from January 1, 2014, the community association merged with the Communauté de communes du Pays de Mirecourt , which was then re-established under the same name.
