Conducting Sessions is the second album by the Swiss jazz ensemble Fischermanns Orchestra , which was recorded on August 15 and 16, 2011 in the Powerplay Studio in Maur near Zurich . It is a production of the Swiss radio station DRS 2 and was released on June 15, 2012 on Unit Records .

Jan Trösch acted as musical director ( conducting ) the title Fuchsjagd und Balls . Samuel Blatter and Philipp Z'Rotz led Dialog ; all other tracks on the album were directed by Samuel Blatter. The individual tracks were composed for the 16 musicians using visual signals ( sound painting ). The conducting sessions were created alongside the recordings of the regular band repertoire. Originally intended as a by-product, the Conducting Sessions were published first; the repertoire and two conductings ( conveyor belt and Bermuda triangle ) were published on the follow-up album Wildfang 2013.

The documentary Ein Platz im Bus by Antonia Meile was released at the same time as the album .

Giocato per lo più sull'emissione del suono, in qualche modo propedeutico quanto esteticamente efficace, "Horizonte" è un altro dei momenti di punta del lavoro, so come - dopo il non trascendentale, un po 'futilmente latineggiante, "assembly line" - " Bermuda triangle, "sorta di nuvola sonora di commiato.
