Confédération Africaine de Natation
The Confédération Africaine de Natation ( CANA ) is the African umbrella organization for water sports .
It was founded in 1970 with 7 national associations. There are now 33 member associations.
CANA became President of CANA in September 2012 as the successor to Mustapha Larfaoui, the South African Sam Ramsamy .
Competitions
CANA organizes the following competitions in Africa :
- African Swimming Championships (every two years)
- African Junior Swimming Championships (all six (?; 8th championship 2005, 9th championship 2011) years)
- African Zone Swimming Championships (every year)
