Conservatorio di Musica Arrigo Boito

The Conservatorio di Musica Arrigo Boito is the music academy (conservatory) in Parma , which is named after Arrigo Boito . President is Giuseppe Romanini.

The history of the institution goes back to the Ducal Singing School, founded in 1825 and initiated by Marie Louise. In 1888 the institute was redesigned in the winter garden. On the recommendation of Giuseppe Verdi , Giovanni Bottezyni took over the management. After his death, Boito actually took over the reins for a while. The conservatory has been named after him since 1919.

Among the graduates were Arturo Toscanini and Serena Daolio .
