Constant Schuurmans
Constant Schuurmans (born December 8, 1914 - March 26, 2003 ) was a Belgian diplomat .
Life
Constant Schuurman attended the École Saint Thomas d'Aquin in Leuven and received a doctorate in social sciences and a doctorate in law . In 1946 Schuurmans entered the foreign service and was accredited in Amsterdam . From 1948 to 1952 he was promoted from second class embassy secretary to first class embassy secretary in Paris . From 1952 to 1958 he was employed in the Politics Department in Brussels and was personal assistant to the Foreign Minister. From 1958 to 1961 he headed Pierre Wigny's office . In 1962 he was consul general in Lille and Frankfurt am Main .
