Corentin Jean (born July 15, 1995 in Blois ) is a French football player .

Club career

Jean started playing football in the Blois area and played for Blois Foot when he moved to the youth division of the professional club ES Troyes AC in the summer of 2010 at the age of almost 15 . There he belonged to the under 17-year-old B-Juniors and jumped over the A-Youth in summer 2012, so that he moved up to the second team shortly before his 17th birthday. For the fifth division team he made his debut on August 26 of the same year in a 2: 3 against the reserve selection of FCO Dijon . Eight days earlier, he had sat on the bench in a first-team match against Olympique Lyon , but was not used.

On November 29, 2012, he played for the first time when he was on the pitch from the start in the 1: 2 in the league cup against Stade Rennes . His performance in the game earned him a nomination for the following league game on December 2nd. Troyes played again against Rennes and lost 3-2, with Jean coming on in the 79th minute, making his first division debut. Ten days later, he was in the starting line-up for the first time in an encounter against FC Évian Thonon Gaillard . From then on, despite his young age of 17, he remained in the first team squad, mostly played from the start and played 14 first division games until he was out due to injury at the end of March 2013. In May of the same year he signed his first professional contract and tied it with Troyes for three years from the beginning of the 2013/14 season. In the same month he had to accept relegation to the second division. In the following time he remained an integral part of the professional team, even if he mostly took the role of a joker and was therefore mainly substituted. In the 2014/15 host year he was able to establish himself increasingly at Troyes and with ten goals in the league also significantly increased his scoring risk. Ultimately, at the end of this season, he won the second division championship and returned to the top division. For the 2015/16 season Jean was signed by AS Monaco and loaned back to ES Troyes AC for the season.

For the 2016/17 season , Jean first joined the AS Monaco squad.

National team

Jean made his first appearance in the French national jersey when he played for the U-16 team in a 2-1 draw against Germany on May 25, 2011. It was his only game for this selection, but he was called up to the U-17 in October of that year , for which he played various games until he was nominated for the U-17 European Championship in 2012 . Jean played in all three group games, but had to accept the elimination of his team at the end; however, he was promoted to the French U-18 in September 2012 . In the summer of 2013, he made it to the U-19s, with which he took part in the EM 2013 and failed in the final against Serbia. After about a year without consideration, he made his debut for the U-20s in October 2014 and finally moved up to the U-21s in spring 2015. Thus he had succeeded in being called up for all youth teams in his country.
