Corinna Scharzenberger

Corinna Scharzenberger (born June 24, 1990 in Schladming ) is an Austrian politician of the Austrian People's Party (ÖVP). She has been a member of the National Council since October 23, 2019 .

Life

Corinna Scharzenberger attended the Bundesgymnasium and Bundesrealgymnasium Stainach , where she graduated in 2008 . In 2009 she began studying law with an elective focus on criminal law and criminology at the University of Vienna , completing her master's degree in 2013. In addition to her studies, she worked as a service employee in the hospitality industry and as a legal assistant in a law firm. In 2013, the court practice in the district of the Higher Regional Court of Vienna followed . Since 2014 she has been employed as a lawyer for the agricultural district authority for Styria in the Stainach office in the state of Styria . In 2016 she started a doctoral degree in law. Scharzenberger lives in Irdning-Donnersbachtal .

Since 2017 she has been the district chairwoman of the Young Employees 'Association in Liezen and executive chairwoman of the Austrian Employees' Association (ÖAAB) Styrian Salzkammergut . Since 2018 she has been the organizational officer of the Young People's Party (JVP) in the Liezen district , and since 2019 she has been the youth officer of the Young Employees and Employees' Association of Styria.

She ran in the 2017 National Council election for the ÖVP in the Upper Styria regional constituency in 16th place on the list and in 12th place in the 2019 European elections . In the 2019 National Council election, she ran for the ÖVP behind top candidate Andreas Kühberger as second in the list in the Upper Styria regional constituency and in eleventh place in the Styrian electoral district . On October 23, 2019 she was at the beginning of the XXVII. Legislative period as a member of the Austrian National Council .
