Cornamusa is a German rock band .

history

In 1998 the cover rock band “Brass Rock Tigers” was founded in Neuhaus am Rennweg ( Thuringia ), from which today's cover band “Rocktigers” emerged.

The band's then members released their first single Gates of Eden under the name Cornamusa in 2003 , which was created in collaboration with the songwriter Ekki Stein ( Go Trabi Go ).

This was followed in 2004 by the album Cornamusa , from which the other singles Catching the Wind , Ebony Eyes and Drinking All Night Long were released. This was followed by television appearances at MDR , Tele 5 and Erfurt-TV as well as articles in the magazines Soundcheck , InMusic , Rock Hard and others. At the end of 2004 another member was added with Ace Griffin.

In 2004 and 2005, Cornamusa performed at Musik für Sie , Megarock in die Ferien , at the Göttingen Old Town Festival and on Walpurgis Night in Zella-Mehlis . She played with Schandmaul , Fiddler's Green , Adaro and Saltatio Mortis , among others .

In 2005 she toured the USA for a week.

In 2006 Cornamusa was on the road with a new show that took her to the Old Town Festival in Teltow and the Weimar Onion Market , and was invited to one of the biggest heavy metal events in Bulgaria, the Monsters of Rock .

The second album Both Worlds was released on January 19, 2007. Also this year Cornamusa played at the Weimar Onion Market , where she won the Köstritzer Live Award (best live band) - an initiative of the Köstritzer Schwarzbierbrauerei and the radio station Landeswelle Thüringen - won. The prize consisted of a stay in the Danzmusik studio of the band Silly . Cornamusa produced their single My Way there together with Uwe Hassbecker and Ritchie Barton .

In 2008, Cornamusa released her third album Get on the Train and the single My Way . Cornamusa was also represented again on the stage of Landeswelle Thüringen at the Weimar onion market .
