The Bavarian Family and Social Center (ZBFS) was created on August 1, 2005 as part of the administrative reform in Bavaria . It is a central state authority with headquarters in Bayreuth and regional offices in Augsburg , Bayreuth , Landshut , Munich , Nuremberg , Regensburg and Würzburg . The ZBFS is subordinate to the Bavarian State Ministry for Family, Labor and Social Affairs .

- the offices for care and family support ,
- the Bavarian State Office for Supply and Family Support
- the Bavarian State Youth Welfare Office
- the integration offices - in Bavaria now the inclusion office - and
- the main welfare agencies
together.
tasks
The tasks of the Center Bavaria Family and Social Affairs are
- the implementation of the Bundeselterngeld- and parental Act (BEEG) including completion of the care benefits and the state education benefit Act (LErzGG) and the Bavarian family money Act (BayFamGG)
- Child and youth welfare ( Bavarian State Youth Welfare Office )
- the determination of a severe disability and the issuance of appropriate IDs according to SGB IX ,
- Help for the professional integration of severely disabled people in the workplace (Inclusion Office)
- Benefits under the social compensation law for war victims under the Federal Supply Act (BVG), victims of acts of violence under the Victims Compensation Act (OEG), civil service damage under the Civil Service Act (ZDG) and victims of vaccination damage under the Infection Protection Act (IfSG)
- Funding tasks - e.g. B. in the context of the European Social Fund , the disabled and elderly assistance and the voluntary social year
- the technical supervision of the penal system in Bavaria. The Office for the Enforcement of Measures at the ZBFS has been performing its duties since August 1st, 2015. At this point in time, the Bavarian Measures Act ( BayMRVG ) came into force.
- the technical supervision of public law accommodation in Bavaria. The Office for Public Accommodation at the ZBFS has been performing this task, which is regulated in the Bavarian Mental Health Assistance Act ( BayPsychKHG ) , since January 1, 2019 .
- Every year since 2005, the inclusion prize Job Success has been awarded to honor outstanding commitment to the work integration of people with disabilities

Application forms are available from the regional offices of the Bavarian Family and Social Center and on the Internet. Applications for parental allowance and to determine a disability can also be made online. The ZBFS also has special advisors in the area of victim compensation. These provide the victims of violent crimes with comprehensive information on their legal status and advise them on how to apply.
