Couture-sur-Loir is a village and a commune Déléguée in the French municipality of Vallée-de-Ronsard with 412 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Loir-et-Cher in the region Center-Val de Loire . The place is mainly on the left bank of the Loir .

The townscape of Couture shows the prosperity that existed at times in the past . La Possonnière Castle, located just outside, was rebuilt in the Renaissance style at the beginning of the 16th century by Louis de Ronsard as one of the first in France . The poet Pierre de Ronsard was born here in 1524 , and it is here that he also spent his childhood.

The 12th and 13th century church of Couture has an Anjou vault in the choir . At the back of the nave are sculptures that represent Ronsard's parents. The clothing of the figures was partly carried out in great detail.

The municipality of Couture-sur-Loir merged with Tréhet on January 1, 2019 to form the Commune nouvelle Vallée-de-Ronsard.
