Craig Steven Reichert (born May 11, 1974 in Winnipeg , Manitoba ) is a former Canadian ice hockey player who was active during his active career for the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim in the National Hockey League .
Career
Craig Reichert began his active career in the Alberta Midget Hockey League with the Calgary Buffaloes , for which he was active from 1990 to 1991. He then joined the Spokane Chiefs , a team in Canada's top junior league Western Hockey League . After he had scored a total of 34 points for the Chiefs in 72 games in the 1991/92 season, he went to the Red Deer Rebels the following year . There he managed to increase his points and in the 1993/94 season with a total of 123 points in 76 games to set up his career best. As a result, he was selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 1994 in the third round at a total of 67th position by the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim . The following season Reichert spent with their farm team , the San Diego Gulls , in the International Hockey League . For the 1995/96 season he was sent to the Baltimore Bandits in the American Hockey League . After he had completed the entire season as a regular player, Reichert began the following season with the Bandits. During the season he was called up for Frank Banham in the NHL squad of the Mighty Ducks.
In February 1997, he completed three games for the Californians in the NHL, all of which ended in defeat. Reichert remained unpunished and punished. Then he was sent back to the Baltimore Bandits, where he made a positive appearance as a template provider and booked a total of 55 assists in 80 games. The seasons 1997/98 and 1998/99 he was exclusively with the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks in use and was named their team captain. After his contract with the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim expired, Reichert signed on July 21, 1999 as a free agent with the Florida Panthers . As a result, the attacker was sent to their farm team, the Louisville Panthers , in the AHL. After spending a season with the Louisville Panthers as a regular player, Reichert signed for the 2000/01 season with the Düsseldorfer EG . He was in action in Düsseldorf for one year and scored a total of 35 scorer points in 60 games of the regular season . On June 11, 2001, he joined the Edmonton Oilers . For the 2001/02 season, Reichert was on their farm team at the time, the Hamilton Bulldogs . After 49 games and 22 points for the Bulldogs, he ended his active career after this season.
