action

In 1969, in a bloody ceremony , an evil sect cut the child from a heavily pregnant woman alive in order to bring the deceased master of the group back to life. When a little later the newborn baby is to be sacrificed together with its older brother , the courageous family father intervenes, although he is himself a fanatical sect. His criticism goes unheard. All of a sudden a special task force of the police storms the scene. All disciples of the faith community are struck down, including the child father. The helpless baby and its older brother survive.

30 years later a gruesome series of murders rocked Germany. The cross-club sect religious community is drawing attention to itself. However, the hands of the authorities in the form of Chief Inspector Krüger are tied because there is a lack of solid evidence. The stranger, dubbed a murderer of the cross in the media , also arouses the interest of Andy and his friends. Andy once survived that tragedy as an infant until he was adopted by Chief Inspector Krüger. Since Andy's foster father does not tell him his origin, he does not suspect a connection at first. Rather, he has suffered from a memory block since being adopted as a child . He is also plagued by surreal nightmares that seem to have something to do with the series of murders as well as with his own past. Curiously, he travels to L'Estartit with his friend Michael to give in to a lead there. The two of them hold a strange wooden box, which they entrust to a friend on their return. Before that, however, they met Estelle, the addicted wife of the sect leader and master. Estelle, on the run, explains to Andy that her husband is most likely responsible for the series of murders.

Meanwhile, a well-known chemist opens the wooden box that was recovered in Spain. Two mysterious liquids, which when mixed together form a kind of elixir of life, with the help of which one can reanimate dead organisms, come to light. A little later, events come thick and fast. The vengeful sect leader picks up his wife and abducts her. At the same time he has Andy's girlfriend killed. Later he seeks the public. In a televised address he reveals himself to be the cause of the series of murders. At the same time, the master ushers in a new world order - with the undead , which from then on make the area unsafe. At the end of the film, the bloodthirsty creatures overrun the cities of Germany while Andy and two followers attack the sect leader's refuge. In the midst of the fighting, the sect leader is killed by Andy - it is his older brother. In the last scene, Andy remembers the many dead in the presence of his friend Michael.

Reviews

The lexicon of international films wrote that the German-style horror film offered "numerous genre quotes" and helped "worn-out actors to make another film appearance" .

"Despite the relatively long running time - by amateur standards - the director has succeeded in producing a varied and lavish action film with a lot of humor and a few moments of shock, which entertains at all times and gives the viewer two hours of pleasure."
