use

Cyclanilide is used as an active ingredient in plant protection products (plant growth regulator in cotton). The effect is based on the inhibition of the auxin transport.

Admission

The active ingredient cyclanilide was included in the list of plant protection agents permitted in the EU in Annex I of Directive 91/414 / EEC until October 2011 . This approval was not renewed in 2011 because no manufacturer had submitted an application for approval.

In Germany, Austria and Switzerland, no pesticides with this active ingredient are permitted.
