Cyril Mar Baselios Malancharuvil (born August 16, 1935 in Pandalam , Pathanamthitta District , Kerala , India ; † January 18, 2007 in Thiruvananthapuram , Kerala, India) was Grand Archbishop of Trivandrum and head of the Syro-Malankar Church unified with Rome .

Cyril Baselios Malancharuvil was a member of the Order of the Following Christ (OIC). He was ordained a priest on October 4, 1960 . In 1978 he became bishop of the newly founded Battery Eparchy in India, a suffragan of the Tiruvalla Archeparchy . He received his episcopal ordination on December 28, 1978, the Archbishop of Trivandrum, Benedict Varghese Gregorios Thangalathil OIC; Co - consecrators were Eustathe Joseph Mounayer , Syrian Catholic Archbishop of Damascus , and Paulos Philoxinos Ayyamkulangara , auxiliary bishop in the Trivandrum Archepark . In 1995 Cyril Baselios Malancharuvil was appointed Archbishop of Trivandrum (seat in Thiruvananthapuram ) and in 2005 made Grand Archbishop.

Cyril Baselios Malancharuvil was head of the Syro-Malankar Church united with Rome from 1995 until his death .

He died in Thiruvananthapuram of complications from kidney disease.
