Czarnów ( German Tschernow, 1936–1945 Schernow ) is a village in Poland in the municipality of Górzyca in the Lubusz Voivodeship .
geography
Geographical location
Czarnów is located in the former Brandenburger Neumark on the Warthebruch lowlands close to the river Warthe not far from Küstrin .
history
In Tschernow, too, a fort was built in the middle of the 19th century for the outer defensive ring of the Küstrin fortress.
Until 1945 Schernow was in the district of West Sternberg , Regierungsbezirk Frankfurt .
Population development
By 1800, in addition to the Lehnschulzen lived eleven farmers, 24 Kossäten , ten Büdner and seven granny .

The small railway “Küstrin – Hammer” founded in 1905 had a stop with a waiting hall on the Chaussee near the village. Furthermore, the place is on the former Reichsstraße 114 (today DK 22 ).
