The Dättnauerbach is an approximately one and a half kilometer long tributary of the Hornbach , which drains the Dättnauertal up to the Dättnauerweiher in the city of Winterthur .
The stream was originally overturned due to the clay extraction of the Dättnau brickworks. Since the dipping also led to flooding, the brook was dumped and renatured over almost its entire length of 1.5 km in 2005/2006. Only a 180 meter long section before the confluence with the Hornbach had to be overturned again for topographical reasons.
geography
course
The old course of the brook rises at an altitude of 566 m above sea level. M. in the Ebnet forest area above the Dättnauerweiher , which, depending on the perspective, can also be seen as the stream's new source. In any case, the old course only just flows past the Dättnauerweiher and absorbs the runoff from the pond. Then the stream runs through the Dättnauertal and first takes the Chombergrainbach on the left, then the Kirchenweggraben on the right at the Neubruch level. At the Brüttenerfussweg the Dättnauerbach takes up the Wingertenholzbach, which shortly before merged with the Dättnauerbergbach. The next tributary is then the Hündlerbach coming to the left, which comes from the Dättnau settlement area and runs largely overturned through the quarter. Thereafter, the Dättnauerbach flows even after eingedolten route in the Dättnauerberg coming forth Hornbach . The total length of the stream is 1568 meters from the Dättnauerweier or 1975 meters from the source of the old course.
