Délia Cristina Martins Fischer (born August 29, 1964 in Rio de Janeiro ) is a Brazilian pianist , singer , composer and arranger .

Live and act

Délia Fischer began her musical training on the piano in 1977, among others with Luiz Eça . From 1986 to 1990 she formed the “Duo Fênix” with Cláudio Dauelsberg, the son of Peter Dauelsberg . The duo initially played in Brazil and later also performed in Europe, including at the New Morning jazz club in Paris, the Brotfabrik in Frankfurt am Main, the Montreux Jazz Festival and the Sofia Jazz Festival.

After the duo broke up, Délia Fischer began a solo career. In 1999 the album Antonio was released , on which other well-known Brazilian jazz musicians such as Romero Lubambo , Nico Assumpção and Nivaldo Ornelas can be heard. The album was also released in the United States and Europe. She also had joint appearances with Toninho Horta , Robertinho Silva , Dom Um Romão and Gaudêncio Thiago de Mello .

In 2006 she toured Europe with Lisa Nilsson and the group "Avenida Atlântica", for which she worked as a singer and songwriter and performed at the Copenhagen Jazz Festival . From 2007 she staged music shows and musicals in Brazil and Europe. In 2009 she received the “Shell Theater Award” for her work on the musical Beatles num Céu de Diamantes . In 2010 she was the music director of the show Era no tempo do Rei with compositions by Carlos Lyra and texts by Aldir Blanc, directed by João Fonseca. In the same year her second solo album Presente appeared , on which Egberto Gismonti , Hermeto Pascoal and the singers Lisa Nilsson and Ana Carolina participated. In 2011 the album Saudações Egberto was released , on which she reinterpreted songs by Egberto Gismonti. From 2011 to 2012 Délia Fischer sang in Ana Carolina's band. In 2012 she was arranger, pianist and singer in the project Milton Nascimento - Nada Será Como Antes and music director of Rock in Rio , o Musical and in 2013 arranger and music director of the show Homenagem ao Raul Seixas .
