The jazz bar New Morning has been a jazz , blues and world music venue in Paris since 1981 .

The New Morning (7 & 9 Rue des Petites Écuries, in the 10th arrondissement ) was founded by Eglal Farhi (1922-2019) and opened on April 16, 1981 with a concert by Art Blakeys Jazz Messengers . Since then, u. a. Arturo Sandoval , BB King , Bob Dylan , Charlie Haden , Chet Baker , Claude Sommier , Dexter Gordon , Didier Lockwood , Dizzy Gillespie , George Russell , Guy Konkèt , Gwen McCrae , Jean-Jacques Goldman , Kenny Clarke , Michel Berger , Pat Metheny , Prince , Stan Getz , Taj Mahal and Zuco 103 on.

The jazz bar is one of the most popular jazz clubs in Paris and has over 300 seats. Numerous concerts were recorded in the club and released as albums. a. by Last Exit , Claude Nougaro , Cecil Taylor , Dianne Reeves and Joe Lovano .
