List of departments of the Republic of the Congo
The Republic of the Congo has been divided into twelve departments since 2003. The departments replace the regions that existed until 2012:
- Bouenza ( Madingou )
- Brazzaville (Brazzaville)
- Cuvette ( Owando )
- Cuvette-Ouest ( Ewo )
- Kouilou ( Loango )
- Lékoumou ( Sibiti )
- Likouala ( Impfondo )
- Niari ( Dolisie )
- Plateau ( Djambala )
- Pointe-Noire (Pointe-Noire)
- Pool ( kinkala )
- Sangha ( Ouésso )
The departments are in turn divided into 86 districts and seven municipalities.
