Días de Santiago - War Only Knows Victims is a Peruvian film drama from 2004, which deals with the fate of a Peruvian soldier who cannot cope with civil life after his military service.
action
The 23 year old Santiago Románer is returning to his hometown Lima after 6 years of military service . During his military service, Santiago was stationed on the Ecuadorian border and had to fight terrorists and drug traffickers. Santiago tries to lead a normal life, but the chaotic life in Lima does not match the ideas conveyed during his military service. He is becoming increasingly violent.
Reviews
"Like the Vietnamese Travis Bickle, Santiago cannot find its way back into the coordinate system of a bourgeois life, especially since post-Fujimori-era Peru, in which over half of the population lives below the poverty line, is far from normal." ( Epd film )
