Dünzling is a district of the market Bad Abbach in the Lower Bavarian district of Kelheim . Until 1978 it formed an independent municipality.

location

The parish village of Dünzling is about seven kilometers south-east of Bad Abbach on the district border with Upper Palatinate .

history

Settlements and finds from all stages of culture since the linear ceramics have been identified from the area around Dünzling . The area was very densely populated, especially during Roman times. Nine villae rusticae were found.

In 866 AD the place was first mentioned as tunzilinga as part of an extensive exchange of goods. In the St. Emmeram property register from 1031, Dünzling emerges as a large manor complex, which in later centuries changed into a monastery district with an amthof on which the Ammer sat. The St. Emmeram Monastery was able to hold by far the largest part of the property until it was dissolved in 1810.

The municipality of Dünzling has been independent since 1818. It always belonged to the district office or district of Kelheim. The telephone network was set up in 1909, the electricity in 1922, the street lighting in the late 1960s and the central water supply in 1975. The land consolidation with the distribution of the new fields was carried out in 1977.

On January 1, 1978, the municipality of Dünzling was incorporated into the Bad Abbach market as part of the regional reform in Bavaria . From 1979 to 1981 there was a renovation of the village and in 1992 a larger building area was designated.
