The Dürre Ager is a river in Upper Austria. It flows through the Attergau from south to north and flows into the Vöckla in Timelkam . The river reaches a length of approx. 21.5 km. The Ager drought should not be confused with the Ager, which runs roughly parallel to the east .

The Dürre Ager forms from the confluence of the Ruezingbach and Sagerer Bach in the municipality of Straß im Attergau . Sometimes the Ruezingbach is seen as the upper reaches of the Dürren Ager, which is around 31 km long. The Ruezingbach rises on the eastern slope of the Mondseeberg in the municipality of Oberwang , only about one kilometer as the crow flies from the origin of the Vöckla. The sources of the Ruezingbach and all other source streams are located in the flysch zone . The strongly fluctuating water flow is typical for waters that arise from the flysch . While the water level swells quickly when it rains, it drops sharply in dry periods, as the name part "dry" suggests. In the lower reaches there is also seepage, which means that the Drought Ager sometimes falls completely dry in the summer months, most recently in 2019.

Over large sections of the Drought Ager is relatively natural. Between Eggenberg (municipality of Berg im Attergau ) and Reichenthalheim (municipality of Vöcklamarkt ) it flows in numerous unpaved meander loops , surrounded by a narrow strip of riparian forest and wet meadows . In contrast, it is heavily built up in the local area of St. Georgen im Attergau and Timelkam .

The water quality class of this river is class II.
