The Dachslöcher nature reserve near Bergweiler is the smallest nature reserve in the Bernkastel-Wittlich district in Rhineland-Palatinate .

The 0.9 hectare area, which was placed under nature protection in 1986 , extends north of the Bergweiler community . The K 45 district road runs not far to the west and the A 60 not far to the south .

The protection purpose is the maintenance of a nutrient-poor still water area with its siltation zones in a former gravel pit area as a habitat for rare and endangered animal and plant communities .
