Little Kyll Gorge in the nature reserve Mosenberg and Horngraben series craters (August 2012)

The Mosenberg and Horngraben series crater nature reserve is located in the Bernkastel-Wittlich district in Rhineland-Palatinate .

The 138.27 hectare area, which consists of two sub-areas and was placed under nature protection in 2016 , extends east of the local community of Bettenfeld . Not far to the north is the L 16 state road and L 62 to the east. The 517 meter high Mosenberg rises in the western sub-area . The Kleine Kyll flows on the eastern edge of the eastern sub-area .
