The nature reserve Streuobstwiesen bei Wehlen is in the district of Bernkastel-Wittlich in Rhineland-Palatinate .
The 128 ha area, which was placed under nature protection in 1995 , extends on the western edge of Wehlen , a district of Bernkastel-Kues . The state road L 47 runs not far to the east and flows the Moselle .
The protection purpose is the preservation and development of the largest contiguous, largely extensively used orchards on the Middle Moselle and their adjoining bush and deciduous forest formations .
