The Mesenberg near Wittlich nature reserve is located in the Bernkastel-Wittlich district in Rhineland-Palatinate .
The approximately 152 hectare area, which was placed under nature protection in 2004 , extends southwest of the core town of Wittlich . The state road L 141 runs not far to the west and north and the A 60 not far to the south . The A1 runs east.
