Dagmara Wozniak (born July 1, 1988 in Wroclaw , Poland ) is an American saber fencer .
successes
Dagmara Wozniak won the title seven times with the team at Pan American Championships. In the individual, she secured two silver and three bronze medals from 2010, before becoming the Pan American champion for the first time in 2018. She also won gold in the team competition of the Pan American Games 2011 in Guadalajara and repeated this success in Toronto in 2015 . In addition, she secured gold in the individual. In 2014 she became world champion with the team in Kazan and also won three bronze medals at world championships between 2011 and 2015. Wozniak participated in two Olympic Games : in 2012 she took eighth place in London . At the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro , she finished the individual competition in 24th place. In the team competition, she reached the semi-finals with the US team, which were lost to Russia . The final battle for third place against Italy ended at 45:30 in favor of the Americans, who in addition to Wozniak also included Ibtihaj Muhammad , Monica Aksamit and Mariel Zagunis .
Mozniak graduated from St. John's University with a degree in biology , for which she was also active in college sports .
