Damián Nannini

Damián Gustavo Nannini (born September 15, 1961 in Rosario , Santa Fe Province , Argentina ) is an Argentine clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of San Miguel .

Life

After attending the Colegio Sagrado Corazón in Rosario, Damián Nannini studied Philosophy and Catholic Theology at the San Carlos Borromeo Seminary in Rosario. He received on 15 December 1989 by the Archbishop of Rosario , Jorge Manuel López , the sacrament of Holy Orders . In 1996 Nannini obtained a licentiate in Biblical Studies at the Pontifical Biblical Institute in Rome .

Damián Nannini was then parish vicar at the Nuestra Señora del Rosario Cathedral , before he became rector of the Niño Dios Church in Rosario in 1998 . From 2007 to 2017 he was pastor of the parish Nuestra Señora de la Guardia . In addition, Nannini was a member of the Priestly Council of the Archdiocese of Rosario from 2014 to 2017 . He also taught at the San Carlos Borromeo Seminary . In 2017 Damián Nannini became director of the Escuela Bíblica del Centro Bíblico Teológico Pastoral in Bogotá .

On November 7, 2018, Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of San Miguel. The Archbishop of Santa Fe de la Vera Cruz , Sergio Alfredo Fenoy , donated him episcopal ordination on December 14th of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Archbishop of Rosario , Eduardo Eliseo Martín , and the Archbishop Emeritus of Rosario, Eduardo Mirás .
