Damian Kyaruzi

Damian Kyaruzi (born April 22, 1940 in Butainamwa , Tanzania ) is a Tanzanian clergyman and emeritus Roman Catholic Bishop of Sumbawanga .

Life

Damian Kyaruzi received on 29 June 1968, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On April 21, 1997, Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Sumbawanga. The Archbishop of Tabora , Mario Epifanio Abdallah Mgulunde , donated him episcopal ordination on June 29 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Archbishop of Dar es Salaam , Polycarp Pengo , and the Bishop of Bukoba , Nestorius Timanywa .

Pope Francis accepted his age-related resignation on April 19, 2018.
