Damien Ambrosetti (born October 10, 1984 in Sallanches ) is a French cross-country skier .

Career

Damien Ambrosetti competed for the Chamonix ski club. He has taken part in international races of the Continental Cup, Junior and FIS races and the Alpine Cup since 2002. Ambrosetti made his World Cup debut at the beginning of the 2006/07 season , when he also competed in the sprint for the first time at the season opener in Düsseldorf and finished 25th. He entered the season only once in the World Cup, at a sprint competition in Rybinsk, Russia in January 2007, in which he was 23rd. At the end of the season he finished in 131st place with a total of 14 points due to his two top 30 results in the overall World Cup. In the 2007/08 season he finished in the same place with Roddy Darragon in eighth place in the team sprint and thus his first place in the top ten in a World Cup race. In the Tour de Ski 2007/08 he reached the quarter-finals in the sprint competition in Prague over a kilometer, but was eliminated there. In the overall World Cup ranking at the end of the season he reached place 149 with five points. In his third and final World Cup season 2008/09 , he finished 123rd with a total of 19 points.

Ambrosetti took part in the sprint competition at the Nordic World Ski Championships 2009 in Liberec , but failed as 36th in the qualification.
