Damir Džombić (born January 3, 1985 in Srebrenik ) is a former Bosnian football player .
Career
Damir Džombić began his professional career in 2003 with the Swiss club FC Basel . A season later he was awarded to FC Wil 1900 , where he played 21 games. After his return he did not manage to play his way into the extended professional squad and so he was fired in 2007. In 2007 he was signed to FC Vaduz from Liechtenstein . There he made his breakthrough in the Axpo Super League . He scored his first goal on August 16, 2008 in a 2-1 win against FC Sion . At the end of the season he was relegated with his team.
In the summer of 2009 Džombić moved to FC Aarau . There he was not used in the 2009/10 season . In December 2010, he dissolved his contract after a mission in the 2010/11 season . At the beginning of March 2011, FC Wil signed him, but he was not used there. In May 2011 he moved to FC Schaffhausen , who also played in the Challenge League . There he was in the last four games of the season in the starting line-up, but was relegated with his team at the end of the season.
In October 2011 he was signed by FC Schötz , who played the first division . In summer 2012 he moved to SC Kriens in the 1st division promotion . There he was a regular, but left the club at the end of the season to play a league lower at FC Grenchen . After a half series, he joined FC Wangen bei Olten in early 2014 , which also played in the 1st League Classic . Since summer 2014 Džombić has been playing in the 2nd league interregional .
National team
Džombić played one game for the Swiss U-19s before deciding to play for the Bosnian U-21s . He played two games in qualifying for the U-21 European Football Championship in 2006 .
