The Dammbach in the Harz low mountain range is a southern and orographically right-sided tributary of the Rappbode in the districts of Harz and Nordhausen in Saxony-Anhalt and Thuringia ( Germany ).

The Dammbach rises in the Lower Harz in the Harz / Saxony-Anhalt Nature Park . Its source is located in Saxony-Anhalt around 5 km south-southwest of Trautenstein on the northeast flank of the Buchenköpfe ( 603.1 m above sea level ) at around 565 m above sea level. NN .
The stream , which runs mainly east-northeast, flows along its entire length through the Harzer Bachtäler nature reserve . About 500 m below its origin, a small stream flows into the beech heads (Saxony-Anhalt) in the west and the Stierberg ( 602.4 m above sea level ; Thuringia) in the east, which drains the nearby Stierbergsteich . From there the brook runs for about 700 m along the border between Saxony-Anhalt and Thuringia and then in Saxony-Anhalt through its uninhabited forest valley.
Finally , the Dammbach flows into the southern outskirts of Trautenstein at 454.6 m above sea level. NN into the Bode tributary Rappbode .
