Dammholm ( Danish : Damholm ) is a village on the fishing peninsula in the Schleswig-Flensburg district in Schleswig-Holstein . Since March 1st, 2013 it has been part of the municipality of Mittelangeln .

history

The place name literally means elevation ( holm ) in a depression ( dam ). 1630 the name of the place was tho Holm , the current place name was mentioned for the first time in 1718. In the course of the territorial reform of the 1970s, the municipality of Dammholm lost its independence and came to the municipality of Havetoftloit . With its dissolution on March 1, 2013 Dammholm came to the newly formed municipality Mittelangeln.

The village museum of the same name was located in Dammholm and was closed in August 2012.
