Rüde ( Danish Ryde ) is a former municipality in the Schleswig-Flensburg district in Schleswig-Holstein . It was created in 1871 through the merger of the communities Groß Rüde and Klein Rüde. Rüdesüderholz and Mooswatt were in the municipality. On March 1, 2013, the community went into the newly formed community Mittelangeln .

Geography and traffic

Rüde is located on the fishing peninsula about 16 kilometers southeast of Flensburg and 16 kilometers west of Kappeln in a rural area in the triangle between the federal highway 7 from Schleswig to Flensburg, the federal highway 199 from Flensburg to Kappeln and the federal highway 201 from Kappeln in the direction of Husum .
