Dan Laustsen (born June 15, 1954 in Aalborg , Denmark ) is a Danish cameraman .

Life

After completing an internship as a photographer, Dan Laustsen studied from 1976 to 1979 at the Danish film school Den Danske Filmskole . His graduation film was the drama Let us dance first, released that same year and directed by Anette Mari Olsen . Since then, he has made commercials, documentaries and feature films such as Pact of the Wolves , Silent Hill and Solomon Kane . In 2007 he was awarded the Erik Ballings travel grant for his contribution to the Danish film, which includes prize money of 50,000 kroner. In total, he has been nominated nine times in the category of Best Camera for the Danish Film Prize Robert , with his five awards for his work on Scream of the Thorn Bird , Emma's Shadow , Valby - The Secret in the Moor , Dina - My Story and Unconditionally Record Prize Winner is.

In 2017 he was accepted into the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS), which awards the Oscars every year.
