Dan Shor (born November 16, 1956 in New York City , New York , USA ) is an American actor , director , screenwriter and acting teacher.

Life

Born in New York City, Shor graduated from Elisabeth Irwin High School in June 1974 . He later went to Evanston , Illinois and attended Northwestern University. However, he eventually returned to New York City. There he received attention from the theaters. There he got the leading role in the first national ensemble Equus .

Shors continued studying at the Davis Center for Performing Arts and the City College of New York. He also studied at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art in England . He later appeared on an episode of the PBS series Once Upon a Classic and then played the title role in the ABC miniseries Studs Lonigan . This brought him to Los Angeles .

Shor's work as an actor includes features such as Air Force One , Tron , Bill & Ted's Crazy Journey through Time , Red Rock West and John Huston's The Wisdom of Blood . His television work includes appearances on television series such as Die Fürs Vaterland , Elvis and the Colonel, and Die Blauen und die Grauen (for which Shore won the People's Choice Award ). Shor was one of the main cast of the multiple Emmy- winning series Cagney & Lacey in 1985/86 . He had numerous guest appearances on many other television series, including both Starship Enterprise - The Next Century and Star Trek: Starship Voyager as Ferengi -Doctor Arridor. He also had several stage appearances in Los Angeles and San Diego .

Shor has been the director of the Diversified Theater Company since 1995. He wrote the script and directed the Ovation Award-winning production of Who Gets Slapped .

Shor also worked as a screenwriter and collaborated with the Czech director Jiří Weiss . Her script for Temptation in Prague was bought by Meeker / Greene Productions. Shor also teaches acting at the International Academy of Film and Television in Cebu , Philippines .
