Asiavision
In Asiavision is an Asian organization aiming regular exchange of messages between Asian Broadcasting Union. Neither political nor economic goals are pursued, only the promotion of the free exchange of news. It is a project of the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU).
The action center is located in the Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur . With two satellite transmissions a day, the most important events, such as natural disasters and political events, are exchanged. The highest quality broadcasting organizations are honored at annual awards ceremonies.
history
The program was founded on January 16, 1984 with five members (BTV, PTV, RTB, RTM, and SLRC). After extensions, the project was completely digitized in 2001. Up until 2005 there was only one message exchange per day, after which it was upgraded to accommodate the increasing number of members.
