Dan Zama Koira (also: Danzama Koira , Dan Zam Koira , Zam Koira ) is a district ( French : quartier ) in Arrondissement Commune II of the city Niamey in Niger .

geography

Dan Zama Koira is located on the northeastern edge of the urban parish of Niamey. The neighboring districts are Koira Tagui in the north-west, north Faisceau in the west, north Lazaret in the south-west and Cité Député in the south-east. Like the entire north of Niamey, the district is located in a plateau with a layer of sand less than 2.5 meters deep, which means that only limited infiltration is possible.

history

The district emerged at the beginning of the 21st century. In the period from 2000 to 2004, the city council of Niamey carried out parcelling here and in seven other peripheral areas and sold the land.

At the 2012 census, Dan Zama Koira had 11,707 residents who lived in 2,065 households.
