Nord Faisceau is a district ( French : quartier ) in the Arrondissement Niamey II of the city of Niamey in Niger .

geography

Nord Faisceau is located on National Road 24 in the north of the urban parish of Niamey. The surrounding neighborhoods are Koira Tagui in the north, Dan Zama Koira in the east, North Lazaret in the south and Francophonie in the west. The district covers an area of about 104.6 hectare , and is like the entire northern Niamey in a plateau with a less than 2.5 meters deep layer of sand, only a limited infiltration is thereby possible. When it rains heavily, the roads are flooded, causing traffic problems.

history

The district emerged at the beginning of the 21st century. In the period from 2000 to 2004, the city council of Niamey carried out parcelling here and in seven other peripheral areas and sold the land.

At the 2012 census, North Faisceau had 16,549 inhabitants who lived in 2,717 households.
