Daniar Dshunussow ( Kazakh Данияр Жүнісов , born March 12, 1986 in Berlin ) is a German ice hockey goalkeeper who was last under contract with the Kölner Haien in the German Ice Hockey League from 2015 to 2018 .

Career

Daniar Dshunussow began playing ice hockey at the age of seven in the offspring of the Eisbären Berlin , where he went through all ages. In 2001/02 the goalie played under the direction of Andreas Gensel in the DNL team before he got his first appearances in the regional league team of the Eisbären Juniors in the 2002/03 season . In the following season Dshunussow stood both in the regional league and in the German junior league for the Eisbären Juniors on the ice. In addition, the left catcher was invited to some junior selection courses and appointed to the squad of the U20 national team. The Berliner made his debut in the German Ice Hockey League on January 2, 2005 in a 2-1 defeat in the penalty shootout against the Frankfurt Lions . After a victorious game against the DEG Metro Stars in January 2005, Dshunussow became the youngest polar bear starting goalie to ever win a game with the team. In the 2005/06 season , the goalkeeper was loaned to the Mosquitos Essen by means of a sponsorship license , where he made a significant contribution to staying up as a regular goalkeeper.

For the 2007/08 season Dshunussow signed an annual contract with the Hamburg Freezers , where he took the back-up position behind Jean-Marc Pelletier and was also given a license to support the second division Eisbären Regensburg . After his contract expired Dshunussow moved to the Grizzly Adams Wolfsburg and formed a goalkeeper team with Oliver Jonas there in the 2008/09 season . In the following season Jonas was replaced by Jochen Reimer and Dshunussow came in parallel with a sponsorship license with the Eispiraten Crimmitschau to two games. In addition, he completed 22 DEL games with a goal average of 2.39.
