Daniel Abraham
Daniel James Abraham (born November 14, 1969 in Albuquerque , New Mexico ) is an American science fiction and fantasy author . He is the author of the fantasy tetralogy The Long Price Quartet (translated into German as The Magic Cities ) and several short stories nominated for prizes .
At times he works with George RR Martin , another fantasy writer from New Mexico. For the fantasy tetralogy Black Sun's Daughter , Abraham used the pseudonym MLN Hanover , and his science fiction series The Expanse , co- authored with Ty Franck , was published under the common pseudonym James SA Corey .

The Long Price Quartet
The tetralogy was published by Tor Books . The German translation under the series title The Magic Cities comes from Andreas Heckmann and is published by Blanvalet .

TV series
On April 11, 2014, the broadcaster SyFy announced that it had acquired the rights to the book series and was having a series produced based on it. A first trailer was released in January 2015. The first season aired on Syfy from December 14, 2015 to February 2, 2016 . The second season aired in the United States from February 1 to April 19, 2017. A third season with 13 episodes for 2018 has been confirmed by Syfy. The series is produced by the Alcon Television Group (ATG). The Oscar-nominated screenwriter duo Mark Fergus and Hawk Ostby (known for the films Children of Men and Iron Man ) wrote the script for the pilot.
