Daniel Andreas Lede Abal (born June 1, 1976 in Stuttgart ) is a German politician of German- Spanish origin from Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen . He has been a member of the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg since May 2011 .

education and profession

Daniel Lede Abal, whose father is Spanish and whose mother is German, grew up in Stuttgart, Korntal and Ditzingen . He attended elementary school and high school in Korntal. He then completed his community service as a supervisor in a Caritas dormitory for mentally and multiply disabled adults in Stuttgart- Bad Cannstatt . He lives in 1996 Tübingen , where he was first at the Eberhard Karls University student to teacher was. After dropping out of his studies, he initially worked as an employee of a wine shop, whose manager he was until his election to the state parliament.

Political activity

Daniel Lede Abal has been a member of the Greens since 1998. From 2000 to 2011 he was a member of the board of the Tübingen City Association and was responsible for finances. Since then he has also dealt with various topics, campaigns and, to a particular extent, election campaigns in the local area. From 2004 to 2009 he was also a member of the district council, member of the administrative and technical committee and member of the association assembly of the Reutlingen / Tübingen waste management association. In the state elections in 2011 , Lede Abal won the direct mandate in the constituency of Tübingen with a lead of 21 votes over the CDU candidate Lisa Federle and thus moved into the state parliament for the first time . There he was integration policy spokesman for the group of the Greens and a member of the integration committee, the committee for science, research and the arts as well as the standing committee.

In the state elections in 2016 , Lede Abal was able to defend his direct mandate, this time with a lead of almost 14,000 votes. In the current electoral term he is deputy parliamentary group chairman and member of the Presidium in the state parliament . In addition, he is the parliamentary group's spokesman for Migration & Integration and a member of the Committee on Social Affairs & Integration, the Committee on Home Affairs, Digitization & Migration and the Committee on Transport.
