Daniel Berger (born February 14, 1965 in Cologne ) is a German actor .

Life

Daniel Berger attended the drama school in Bochum from 1985 to 1989 and already had his first appearances at the Ruhrfestspiele and the Schauspiel Frankfurt . After his training he played for seven years as a permanent member of the ensemble at the Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus . He then became a freelance actor and took on various roles at numerous other theaters, for example in Koblenz and Essen.

At the same time, Berger built a career as a film and television actor. He first appeared in front of the camera in 1991 in the movie Gossenkind . In the same year he got his first leading role - that of Clemens Niebisch in Nordkurve . This was followed by several appearances in cinema and short films, as well as in various TV series. In addition, he took part in radio play productions and took on assignments as a speaker on television and radio.

From 2005 to 2009 Berger worked as a lecturer at the Folkwang University of the Arts in the subject of role studies in the musical and drama departments.

Since 2011, Berger has appeared in several musicals directed by Gil Mehmert , including Sheldrake in Sunset Boulevard (2011 at the Bad Hersfelder Festspiele , 2016 at the Theater Dortmund , 2017 at the Theater Bonn ), in various roles in The Full Monty (2011 in Dortmund) and as Lieutenant Cabinet in West Side Story (2018 in Dortmund). At the Bonn Theater in 2018 he was also seen in the musical Kiss Me, Kate in the role of Harrison Howell.
