Daniel Elias Garcia
Daniel Elias Garcia (born August 30, 1960 in Cameron , Texas , USA ) is an American clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Monterey, California .
Life
Daniel Elias Garcia received the sacrament of ordination for the diocese of Austin on May 28, 1988 .
On 21 January 2015 it appointed Pope Francis to the titular bishop of Capsus and ordered him to auxiliary bishop in Austin . He was ordained episcopal on March 3 of the same year by the Bishop of Austin , Joe Steve Vásquez . Co- consecrators were the Archbishop of New Orleans , Gregory Aymond , and the Bishop of San Angelo , Michael Sis .
On November 27, 2018, Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Monterey in California. The inauguration took place on January 29, 2019.
