Daniel Friedrich Sturm

Daniel Friedrich Sturm (* 1973 in Bochum ) is a German political scientist and journalist .

Live and act

After leaving school, Sturm studied political science , Eastern European history and folklore at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn , where he was a member of the Bonner Wingolf student union . Sturm writes articles for the German newspaper " Die Welt ". He is the political editor of Welt , Welt am Sonntag and the Berliner Morgenpost .

For his dissertation “Disunite in Unity” with Gerd Langguth in Bonn, he was awarded the Willy Brandt Prize for the promotion of young scientists from the Federal Chancellor Willy Brandt Foundation .

family

Sturm's father Erdmann Sturm was a professor at the Institute for Protestant Theology and its Didactics at the Protestant Theological Faculty of the University of Münster. His brother Johannes Gerhard Sturm (* 1981) became personal advisor to the then Federal President Joachim Gauck in 2012 .
