Daniel Lissing

Daniel Lissing (born October 4, 1981 in Sydney , New South Wales ) is an Australian actor .

Life

Lissing grew up in Sydney in the Bondi Beach district . Lissing initially worked as a musician. On the advice of his music agent at the time, Lissing went to an audition for commercials and was hired. His actual film and television career began, apart from a few small earlier roles, in 2006. Lissing did not attend drama school, even later. He first starred as a guest star in the hit television series Home and Away ; in episodes 4237-4271, he impersonated the new fire officer ( Fire Officer ) Dave Elder. This was followed by episode roles in the Australian television series Out of the Blue (2008; as Angus "Tiger" McKinon) and The Chaos Family (2008-2009; as Heath).

In 2009 he starred in two short films , Whiteline and Multiple Choice , which led to engagements in Australian television series. In 2010 he had an episode role in the Australian crime series Cops LAC . He played the witness Ryan and was seen in this role with a bare, well-trained upper body. Lissing has since been regularly marketed as a handsome Australian television performer and sex symbol. He was known as the "Aussie heartthrob".

From 2011 he was on the main cast of the Australian television series Crownies ; he played Conrad De Groot, the fiancé of lawyer Tatum Novak ( Indiana Evans ); he played this role until the end of the series in 2011. In 2011 he was seen in the short film Entwined , a mixture of film drama and Bollywood film, in the male lead. He played the Australian Aiden, who has a romance with the Indian exchange student Dalaja, whose visa papers have just expired.

In 2012 he joined the US television series Last Resort . He played the Ensign at Sea ( Petty Officer ) of the US Navy and Navy SEAL James King. Last Resort was the first time Lissing appeared in front of the camera for US television.

In the feature film The Cure , directed by David Gould , he played the biochemist Ryan Earl, a scientist from a good family who, as a member of a research team, believes that his work deserves more recognition and appreciation. In 2014, he took on the role of television journalist Jake in the crime thriller John Doe: Vigilante .

From January 2014 to April 2018 he played the male lead of Royal Canadian Mounted Police Officer Constable Jack Thornton in the US western series Janette Oke: The Coal Valley Saga . 2015 he played in the television series Eye Candy alongside Victoria Justice . In particular, the love and sex scenes between Lissing and Justice caused a stir.

In addition to his work as an actor, Lissing continues to work as a singer-songwriter ; he gave various concerts in Sydney. He also appeared in the context of troop support before the Australian Defense Force, which was stationed on East Timor in the Pacific Ocean . He was also officially honored by the Australian Defense Force for his commitment to peace in East Timor.

Lissing was named one of "Australia's Rising Talents" in the June / July 2012 issue of Inside Film Magazine . Australian television magazine TV Week Magazine described Lissing as one of "Australia's Sexiest Blokes on Television".

Lissing operates accounts on Facebook and Twitter . He currently lives (as of June 2015) in Los Angeles .
