Daniel Stieglitz (2009)

Daniel Stieglitz (born March 2, 1980 in Cham , Upper Palatinate) is a German film director , screenwriter , author and illustrator - especially caricaturist and quick draftsman .

Life

From 2000 to 2008 Stieglitz studied animation , illustration and film at the Kunsthochschule Kassel with professors Paul Driessen , Andreas Hykade and Hendrik Dorgathen .

In addition to his cinematic work, he works as a storyboard artist for national and international commercials and for movies. In 2008 he drew the storyboards for Uli Edel for the Oscar- nominated film The Baader Meinhof Complex . He regularly draws for TV programs such as the science television magazine Quarks of the WDR , or the knowledge magazine Galileo (TV program) on Pro7.

He wrote and illustrated his first novel Dragons does not exist (2016) together with his improvisational theater colleague Axel Garbelmann.

As the first German cartoonist , he won the Golden Nosey at the ISCA Convention in San Diego in 2018 .

Daniel Stieglitz lives and works in Kassel. He is married and has two daughters.
